BTRST, a tool for growth

Continuing, "Entrepreneurs created companies that enabled individuals to become freelancers (e.g. Fiverr) or monetize their idle resources (i.e. Airbnb, Uber, etc) which replaced existing incumbents like talent agencies, taxi companies, and hotel chains. The proliferation of Web3 into the labor market is the imminent continuation of this innovative tide. The companies like Uber contributed to the democratization of working by dethroning long-lasted kings, which legitimized their relatively higher profit extraction as networks still necessitated centralized controllers for functioning. Web3 networks like Braintrust continue to replace rent-seeking middlemen and further democratize the way individuals work by removing these wardens with immutable and user-owned networks.”
There are three primary use cases:
1. Transaction and Utility Fees.
BTRST tokens are used to pay for transaction fees and other platform utilities. This ensures that the token remains essential within the ecosystem and continues to gain value. When an employer pays for our marketplace services, we convert that to BTRST via the Braintrust Fee Converter, to facilitate governance and network rewards.
The Fee Converter is a smart contract that was proposed, approved, and built by the Braintrust community. The Fee Converter converts the payment into BTRST, and directs it to the Braintrust DAO where it is used to fund community programs such as referral rewards, community grants, and to replenish the Braintrust on-chain treasury.

2. Governance.
Holders of BTRST tokens have a say in the decision-making process of the Braintrust network. This decentralized governance model ensures that the community's voice is heard, allowing token holders to influence platform upgrades, policy changes, and more.
3. Network Rewards.
BTRST tokens are used to incentivize talent, clients, and Ambassadors (individuals who refer clients to the platform). When clients pay for services for a referred employer or talent, a percentage of the transaction is rewarded in BTRST tokens.
Braintrust also recently shared a partnership announcement with Rise, with Rise, who stated that:
"Braintrust’s unique user-owned infrastructure built on the Ethereum blockchain puts talent in control and removes the costly middleman of hiring through staffing agencies and web2 job marketplaces.
The community that uses Braintrust to connect with work opportunities is the owner, builder, and manager of the network. Braintrust users are incentivized to foster the growth and success of the network through rewards in the form of the governance token BTRST.
Tokens are received in exchange for building the network, referring and vetting clients, and as a percentage of what referred clients transact. They are also used to govern the platform. Braintrust users can apply their BTRST tokens to unlock special features and rewards."
